2009/2/14 XiaoMa on LiuXing in HOUSE

In LiuXing in HOUSE's Valentine's Day Special, XiaoMa was paired up with GuiGui to promote some must-go destinations in Taipei for this romantic occasion.

XiaoMa and GuiGui introduced themselves as this programme's love couples and consequently called each other by the affectionate nicknames of 'Ma ni' or 'Gui ni' throughout the episode.

At the beginning, XiaoMa promised GuiGui that he will take GuiGui out on a romantic date, and summoned, by magic (or as he so claims), two bicycles so that they could have a relaxing ride through the parkland. Indeed, GuiGui was very impressed with XiaoMa's plans!

XiaoMa's and GuiGui's first stop was a European teahouse, which served as an ideal retreat for a peaceful afternoon tea.
The teahouse also sold traditional Taiwanese trinkets as souvenirs, such as fabric brooches in the shape of 'bopomofo' letters and packaged glutinous rice balls. XiaoMa asked which souvenir GuiGui liked best, and she chose some keyrings of blue and red slippers, explaining that in that case, couples could get matching keyrings.

XiaoMa decides to take GuiGui to the retro teahouse:

Next, XiaoMa and GuiGui decided to get afternoon tea in the backyard of the teahouse, which was all deserted except for them. XiaoMa picked a fancy strawberry gateau, while GuiGui decided to have a fruit tart. To GuiGui's surprise, XiaoMa chose the moment before they tasted their treats to present GuiGui with a single rose.

The giggly couple then decided to feed each other their afternoon teas. Out of interest, GuiGui counted the number of fruit on her tart and discovered that there were nine pieces, which symbolised, in Chinese proverbs, a long life or relationship. XiaoMa furthermore impressed GuiGui by saying 'strawberry' in English, when GuiGui requested that he feed her the strawberry from her tart. Tickled pink, XiaoMa joked that he was a foreigner, and in fact an ABC.

XiaoMa decided to take GuiGui to spend the rest of the afternoon at the Miramar ferris wheel.

However, once he realised how tall the ferris wheel was, XiaoMa tried to weezle out of his plans. In the end, GuiGui succeeded in restraining him to accompany her on the ferris wheel. As it was also her first time riding this ferris wheel, GuiGui stated that she was willing to give her 'first time' to XiaoMa.

XiaoMa was quite shaken to notice that the four walls and the seats of the cable car were transparent so he could see himself high above ground, so GuiGui promised to protect him.

After the exhilirating ride, XiaoMa and GuiGui met up with XiaoXiang and RongJia to have dinner together at an expensive restaurant. To conclude the episode, they toasted each other a Happy Valentine's Day and for those who have partners, to stay in a long, fulfilling relationships with them.
