2009-06-20 Interview and Photoshoot: MaoDi and Zhang Yun Jing Have Fun With Gender Roleplaying

After viewing MaoDi's debut film, 'Winds of September', Zhang Yun Jing expressed that she had a particularly deep impression on MaoDi's acting performance. Significantly, Yun Jing expressed that MaoDi was a very mature and experienced actor for his age. In fact, Yun Jing was so impressed that she even hopes to work with MaoDi in a film or television series in the future.

26 year-old Yun Jing stated that when she was MaoDi's age, she was working hard to make a living. After graduating from junior high, Yun Jing began working full-time. She had a job distributing pamphlets, followed by a stint as an assistant, a job at a tea cafe and then took on the role of chef at a spaghetti restaurant.

MaoDi commented that his greatest fear at the workplace is having to confront a cockroach. In response, Yun Jing shared a particular experience, where she overcame her fear of cockroaches. One day, when she was working she noticed a cockroach crawling on her. In a haste, Yun Jing tried to brush the cockroach away. However, when she was on the bus, she realised that the cockroach had instead crawled under her clothes. Yun Jing dealt with the cockroach by crushing it through her clothes! When she finally arrived at her stop, Yun Jing ran home and quickly took a shower and washed her clothes. From this day on, she was no longer afraid of cockroaches! However, MaoDi claimed that he would not have the courage to this.

Despite his young age, MaoDi has acquired respectable expertise in bargaining. As his public identity is an 'idol artiste', it is inconvenient for him to shop out in the open streets of XiMenDing. Instead, MaoDi chooses to fall under the radar by shopping at Taipei's WuFenPu. On the other hand, Yun Jing expressed that she often gets her money tricked away at WuFenPu. Therefore, Yun Jing decided that MaoDi should accompany her next time she decides to go to WuFenPu.

During the shoot, MaoDi revealed that his often tender skin had been subject to dryness lately. Therefore, he has begun consciously caring for his skin.

MaoDi and ZhangYunJing both look extremely trendy in Paul Smith's latest collection.

WeiYu and LiQuan featured in this episode of YuLe NP3, behind the scenes of the upcoming film AiDaoDi.

LiQuan plays a security guard while WeiYu plays a pizza delivery boy in this romantic comedy film.

WeiYu revealed that LiQuan had been so nervous prior to arriving on the set that he had worn odd socks without realising.

To conclude this episode, WeiYu asked LiQuan to say, 'How are you, Miss?' with different emotional expressions.

AiDaoDi Behind The Scenes Video

The director of MoFanQiBang's segment of AiDaoDi recently uploaded a Behind The Scenes video onto his own youtube account.

Significantly, Director Huang complimented that WeiYu was particularly creative and added in many more jokes to his part, which is a pizza delivery man.

Director Huang also commented that MaoDi suited his role of a filial child perfectly, as his voice can break whenever he gets agitated.

In addition, it is revealed that XiaoLu plays the part of a young boss, who is actually a boy pretending to be an adult, and XiaoMa plays a seemingly sporty, sunshine biker, who turns out to be ultra-feminine.

2009/2/10 YuLe NP3

This episode of YuLe NP3 had the six members of MoFanQiBang and WangZi promoting AiDaoDi, during another magazine photoshoot.

Aben revealed that they will be spending the upcoming Valentine's Day together with fans, performing at an event. In response, MaoDi jokingly expressed his idea to spend a Mother's Day with Aben instead!

The second part of YuLe NP3 showed footage of WangZi and MaoDi posing for the front cover of Fans Magazine's February edition. WangZi joked that he did not feel as much pressure posing with MaoDi as he often feels with Aben, as he thinks that Aben is particularly charismatic in front of the camera, while MaoDi isn't really at all.

In conclusion to the interview, WangZi and MaoDi expressed their hopes that everybody can support AiDaoDi.

2009/2/9 YuLe NP3- AiDaoDi Press Conference

A Press Conference was recently held with the cast of AiDaoDi, as a major Hong Kong film company had chosen to invest in the film.

Significantly, it was clarified that there are actually four directors for this anthological film- one for each story.

Huang Zhi Jiao, the director of MoFanQiBang's and WangZi's story, 第六號瀏海 (The Sixth One With A Fringe), joked that the film was for their fans, who he suspected would have no problem of helping the film break $10 million in box office sales.

On a more serious note, Huang Zhi Jiao expressed that he was touched to have such an enthusiastic cast, who jumped in and agreed to play the roles without having to be signed. Director Huang admitted that there was a feeling of awkwardness during the initial filming process, however every member became really dwelved into their roles.

Therefore, Director Huang is confident to say that they have made a film that all the cast and crew are proud of, even with the successful Taiwanese film, Cape No.7, as their pedestal.
