Aben launched enthusiastically into a gossipy mood, joking that MaoDi definitely likes ambiguous boy-girl relationships the most.
In addition, Aben expressed that it is not only guys, who like to make relationships ambiguous, but girls like TangGuo enjoy doing it too, revealing that she had flirtatiously scolded MaoDi, 'stinky MaoDi' during the CNY Special recordings. HeiRen requested MaoDi and TangGuo to act out the particular scene but MaoDi teased TangGuo, claiming that she had used a different tone on the day.
Moreover, YaTou chipped in and commented that XiaoXun was also a flirt with MaoDi, as XiaoXun had rested her head on MaoDi's shoulder after running up to greet him during the CNY recordings. This caused XiaoXun to be teased for affectionately referring to MaoDi simply as 'Mao', when she called on him to clear up the misunderstanding. In response, MaoDi jokingly admitted that he did have an impression of something heavy weighing on his shoulder that day.
The first question for the five boys to answer was submitted by DaYa, who wondered whether a guy assisting a girl down a busy street would mean that he is in love with her. YeShou and DaYa were requested to act out the scenario. YeShou initially played the part of the guy....
But as he seemed to be too shy and awkward, DaYa took on his role:
In response to this particular question, WeiYu revealed that he had once sparked rumours of wooing TangGuo in the HeiSeHui ring, after he had transported all of her excess baggage to her house after school one day. However, WeiYu claimed that he only had the intention of helping TangGuo out, as she seemed to be struggling with all her bags.
Similarly, all the members except YeShou, agreed that such an action should not be considered an expression of love but just a practice of chivalry and general concern for their female friend.
Alternatively, YeShou expressed that he would only show a significant amount of intimacy to girls that he truly likes, which encouraged everybody to tease him about appearing to have a crush on DaYa.
WeiYu took this opportunity to spill more gossip about YeShou, claiming that YeShou would often boast about how close he had been to DaYa when they once shared a dessert together after rehearsing for the CNY Special. In addition, LiQuan stated that YeShou would also boast about DaYa's SMSes that wished him a fun time at work.
The next question was submitted by YaTou, who asked the boys whether a guy behaving intimately with their female friend, such as kissing them on the cheek when leaving, means that they are secretly in love with the girl. As a result, YaTou was questioned whether XiaoLu did this to her, as they are in the same university class, however YaTou denied this.
In answer to YaTou's question, all five members of MoFanQiBang agreed that such an action made by a guy does prove that there would indeed be love brewing in the relationship.
In addition, HeiRen joked that WeiYu would be especially adept at being sneakily intimate with a girl, as he easily falls asleep, Therefore, HeiRen believes that WeiYu could use dropping off to sleep as an excuse for getting too close to a girl's face and accidentally kissing her.
WeiYu also explained how he believes that girls like ambiguous relationships with guys anyway, because there is a lot of thrill in maintaining the ambiguity. Therefore, sometimes WeiYu feels that guys purposely don't make a clear move in order to retain the sweet feeling of having a crush.
Furthermore, WeiYu was continually teased for being very experienced in wooing girls, especially after he made the outrageously hilarious comment that girls were angels and so guys would have to treat them well.
In defence, WeiYu called on XiaoMan to help him out.
XiaoMan revealed that on the night before their dance collaboration for the CNY Special, WeiYu suggested to her on MSN that they should travel to the studio together and also asked her what she would like to eat for breakfast. XiaoMan replied that she would like a Ham and Cheese crepe, and WeiYu delivered to XiaoMan her ideal breakfast early the next morning. Moreover, before XiaoMan even had the chance to eat her crepe, WeiYu had rushed off to also buy her a drink from Starbucks.
WeiYu expressed that he felt that it was his responsibility to look after XiaoMan and make sure they can maintain a good professional relationship before their performance. This comment fired Aben up to complain that WeiYu definitely does not treat the members of MoFanQiBang to Starbucks and that WeiYu would only prepare breakfast for them as an excuse for running late!
XiaoMan then recalled that WeiYu had told her during rehearsals that the portion around her eyes reminded him of his ex-girlfriend!
XiaoMan was next to share a personal anecdote, where a guy friend had approached her, when they were out together with a bunch of friends, and asked whether she would like to watch MTV and then eat breakfast together afterwards.
After XiaoMan revealed that her guy friend had also asked her out to breakfast with him, WeiYu jokingly clarified to everyone that this guy friend was not him, as WeiYu himself is not the only handsome boy in Taiwan operating a breakfast business:
WeiYu also explained that going out alone with a girl does not necessarily have implications of love. He revealed that he has a female friend, who is actually a married teacher from cram school, but once when they had a conversation with each other they found that they had quite a lot in common. Therefore, WeiYu and his teacher would occasionally meet up just to have a chat.
Similarly, Aben believed the guy was not necessarily trying to chase XiaoMan, as Aben would often casually ask female friends, whom he gets along better with out of the group, whether they'd like to do something afterwards if he was bored. Aben also shared his views on having best friends of the opposite sex, claiming that people form these relationships when they don't like their friend enough to date them, but still want to retain a level of affection with them.
YuTu submitted the next question, which was whether a guy looking after a girl means that he is in love with her. WeiYu responded that it would definitely mean something, as ordinary friends wouldn't feel comfortable feeding their friend medicine, for instance, if they were sick.
Next, Aben shared the most explosive story in the episode, where YongTu had once mistaken him for being in love with her. During the filming of Brown Sugar Chivalries, Aben realised that YongTu was having trouble travelling to the set and then travelling to her other commitments afterwards, as she lived very far away. Therefore, Aben convinced the Channel [V] crew to give her an easier schedule and also gave her a lift home, as he used to live in the same area as YongTu and could empathise with her fatigue.
However, YongTu explained that she had taken Aben's kind actions to heart and fell in love with him. Soon, everybody found out about her feelings for Aben and he got into serious trouble with the management company, as it is against the rules for BangBangTang and HeiSeHui members to date.
WeiYu defended Aben in response, stating that Aben only had intentions of helping YongTu out, and that Aben treats everyone in a very caring manner because, as the eldest band member, Aben feels that he has more responsibility to do so.
YuTu then asked whether a guy friend paying for their dinner, even when she has invited a bunch of her own friends around, should mean that the guy is into her. Again, everybody except YeShou thought that it is traditionally the guy's duty to pay, so paying for dinner should not be taken as an expression of love. However, Aben added that it is also important to respect the beliefs of the girl, and that he wouldn't pay for her portion if the girl insists for him not to.
YeShou then admitted that DaYa had paid for their dinner, as she had protested against YeShou paying for it, as she feels that she is his senior, having entered the entertainment industry first. As a result, YeShou felt touched by DaYa's actions and randomly revealed that he often asked after DaYa, as XiaoJie (Hey Girl) was in his class at school. Once, XiaoJie shared with him a really random story of how DaYa had stepped into dog poo after getting her hair done at the salon, which made YeShou unable to stop giggling about it.
The final question was whether constantly SMS'ing or instant messenging a girl means that the guy is interesed in them.
Aben admitted that sending SMSes back-and-forth is a sign of wanting to start a relationship, especially if both members sometimes purposely send the reply SMS a lot later, to get the other party all worked up. However, he also thinks that it is just a good means of communication when one is bored.
In addition, LiQuan revealed that he often liked to start random conversations on MSN when he was bored, regardless of whether the other party was a girl or boy.
Aben then recalled how LiQuan would often type jingles for advertisements to him on MSN.
Therefore, everybody concluded that LiQuan was mad.
This was an entertaining episode of HeiSeHui, with a suitable and worthy topic for discussion.
