Choc Seven: 超克7 [♥]: 2008/12/23 MoFanBangBangTang Season 2: Newly Elected Didis PK

Aben and XiaoLu were the assistant hosts for this episode, which introduced the six new didis elected after the recent second tao tai sai (elimination round).

The six didis were split into two groups of three, and Aben represented the black team, whilst XiaoLu represented the blue team. Aben's and XiaoLu's job was to reveal a didi on their team, one by one, from behind a blind and the two revealed didis will need to have a talent contest with each other. The didi, who loses one such contest against another didi is ousted from this game. Consequently, a new didi will replace the eliminated didi from behind the blind to compete with the victorious didi.

The first two didis who were introduced are FanDi and AhJie. As it is a MFBBT tradition to taunt the opponent before competing, Aben whispered in FanDi's ear an impressive insult to be directed at AhJie. The taunt turned out to be, 'rather than just imitating others, I hope you can also be yourself,' which was a good call, as one of AhJie's showcased talents is his impersonation of famous figures. Then amusingly, in his set manner, Aben teased AhJie that he had been 'too polite!'

AhJie began the contest by casually slipping into the persona of Jay Chou and Aben dismissed his uncanny attempt by sarcastically guessing that AhJie was imitating Andy Lau.

Next, whilst Aben was promoting FanDi's dance skills, Aben was teased for mispronouncing Krump as 'Kurmg'. Furthermore, in order to raise FanDi's popularity with the spectating didis, Aben asked FanDi whether he had any siblings, and it was revealed that FanDi had an older sister. In response, Aben jokingly brightened up and asked whether she was pretty, which made FanDi awkwardly lost for words!

In addition, Aben jokingly attacked AhJie, by commenting that he looked like a lift operator.

XiaoLu then announced that AhJie was a more mature didi, being already 24, and aben uproariously retorted that AhJie was too old and should just go back to work.

FanDi consequently lost to AhJie, and Aben helped to promote the next didi on his black team, XiaoChun, by revealing that XiaoChun had once serviced customers warmheartedly, working at a store selling drinks. In response, XiaoLu hilariously retorted, 'so, so, so?', which was one of DuoDuo's 'annoying' catchphrases.

The highlight of the episode was when Aben commented that XiaoChun's singing was almost as impressive as XiaoLu's, which prompted XiaoLu to hilariously question why aben was using him to compare with XiaoChun! XiaoXiang encouraged XiaoLu to give a vocal demonstration to show that he is in fact far superior. However, XiaoLu hadn't finished with Aben yet, and accused Aben of using his own band member (7Bang) to help a new didi. Aben hyperactively replied that he did not care because he desperately wanted his black team to pull through.

Finally, XiaoLu agreed to sing the song 'Ten Years', which XiaoChun had previously performed and also deemed a short phrase of it would be enough to showcase his remarkable talent.

Indeed, XiaoLu performed a short yet impressive segment of the song, which caused Aben to exclaim in exasperation that XiaoLu had sung much more than just a phrase. In addition, XiaoXiang cued the spectating didis to give their senior some face, and XiaoLu soaked up their enthusiastic cheers.

All in all, Aben and XiaoLu brought a humourous and warm touch to the show and it was definitely worthwhile to see them feature on MFBBT after so long. On another note, it would also be ideal to see members of 7Bang host their own show, sometime in the future!
