2008/12/5 MaoDi TVB News Interview From Winds of September Promotion Sessions in Hong Kong

The following video is a TVB news interview from 2008/12/5, which was when MaoDi was promoting the Hong Kong premiere of Winds of September (九降風).

As the producer of Winds of September, Eric Tseng commented that the cast was dealing with publicity very well in the sense that they remain very genuine, as they are used to public scrutiny from being on so many shows in Taiwan.

The reporter also mentioned that MaoDi particularly misses Eric Tseng, having not seen him for a month, because Eric treats all of the cast very affectionately. In the same spirit of things, MaoDi and PuiPui, who rarely come to Hong Kong, attempted to adopt the region's mother tongue by learning to greet everyone in Cantonese.

Furthermore, it was revealed that MaoDi was very excited, ever since stepping off the plane, because of the overwhelming number of fans, who came to greet him. Many of the fans even proceeded to follow MaoDi, from the airport to the TVB studios.

In response to the reporter informing MaoDi that all his fans were at the door, MaoDi jokingly attempted to walk out and share food with his fans. MaoDi also commented that he felt very touched and grateful and he had never considered that there would be such a warm reception for him. In MaoDi's opinion, he has not accomplished anything exceptional and hopes that his fans will continue to support him as he strives to improve.

MaoDi stated that they were in Hong Kong due to promotional duties so they often have to stay in the hotel. MaoDi hopes that there will be a chance for him to explore Hong Kong a bit, as he finds that living in such a place would be quite cool. He also described his fantasy of inconspicuously sneaking out to buy something and then running back to his hotel room.

On the other hand, MaoDi's co-star, PuiPui, hoped to be able to sing KTV in Hong Kong and asked the reporter whether there were any Mandarin songs by new bands.

In conclusion, MaoDi joked that they should all go and sing KTV immediately, after the reporter suggested that MaoDi ought to sing his (GongZhuBan's) new songs there.
