2008/11/30 XiaoMa, XiaoLu, WeiYu and MaoDi as guest judges on NaLi5DaKang, XiaoLu's stand-up segment and Aben in the comedy skit

XiaoMa, XiaoLu, WeiYu and MaoDi were guest judges again in Sunday's episode of NaLi5DaKang. This time MaoDi introduced themselves as the 'messy' group, who had never explained clearly to everyone what they actually are.

XiaoLu's Joke:
The last segment of the show featured pretty girls, who were each given 30 seconds to present a funny joke for the judges. They were successful if all the judges held up the 'very funny' sign and would thus avoid being sprayed.

However, as none of the girls were successful in making the judges laugh, XiaoLu was cued to do an improptu stand-up demonstration.

Firstly, XiaoLu apologised in advance to any audience members, who were religious because the joke had a religious theme.

In his joke, XiaoLu explained how there were once three men, each representing a well-known religion. One man was a Christian, so he often said 'Amen'. Another was a Muslim, so he regularly praised 'Allah'. The last of the men was a Buddhist so he would often say 'O-mi-to-fo'. Now, one day, the three men wanted to have a competition to see which religion was the most superior. They decided to jump from the top of Taipei 101 (with its 101 floors) and resolved that whoever survived would be the winner.

The Christian, who was very generous at heart, decided to go first. As the Christian was falling down the side of the building, descending from one floor to another: to the 90th floor, to the 80th floor, to the 70th floor, to the 60th floor, he kept on repeating 'Amen, Amen, Amen', over and over again. However, by the 20th floor, he plummeted with a 'smack' and went to heaven.

Next was the Muslim, and as he jumped down from the top of the building, he repeatedly chanted 'Allah, Allah, Allah'. Down he went, reaching the 90th floor, the 80th floor, the 70th floor and so on. However, when he almost reached the bottom, the Muslim realised that he was starting to float up, hands clasped together, lips pursed, still calling Allah's name.

Finally it was the Buddhist's turn to jump, and as he fell, he kept murmuring 'O-mi-to-fo'.

The Buddhist kept plunging downwards, to the 90th floor, the 80th floor, the 70th floor...

'O-mi-to-fo, O-mi-to-fo, O-mi-to-fo...Allah, Allah, Allah...'
(This should imply the Buddhist changing his mind to call 'Allah', as he realised that the Muslim survived by chanting Allah's name. haha, thanks to qiqi for clearing this up XD.)

Background information: XiaoLu's joke centres around the principles of the three different faiths. On the one hand, Christians generally believe that their soul goes to heaven when they die, while the Qur'an (Islam equivalent of the Bible) emphasizes the promise of bodily ressurrection on Judgement Day. (Furthermore, Buddhists believe in reincarnation but this wasn't incorporated into the joke, as this particular Buddhist cunningly changed to call 'Allah' at the last minute.)

Although XiaoLu's joke was very well received, XiaoJie still held him back to be sprayed by steam for punishment, as he apparently did not make one of the girls telling jokes laugh (However, I did see her laughing while XiaoLu was telling the joke).

Aben in the Comedy Skit:
The last segment of NaLi5DaKang was, as per usual, devoted to a funny little comedy skit. The skit had a school theme, and had Aben and WeiLian as guest actors. Aben played the role of an overenthusiastic teacher, with a tendency to get too intimate with his pupils. WeiLian played one of the pupils who, along with AoQuan, turned up to school dressed in primary school uniform. The humour for this piece was centred around WeiLian's frequent calling out of insults at Aben, such as '5:5 body!' (in one episode of Season 1 MFBBT, they teased Aben for having legs that were the same length as the upper half of his body), while Aben kept mistaking Apple for putting on a male voice and insulting him.

In addition, Aben and A-Wei had a hilarious moment of interaction, when A-Wei kept repeating whatever Aben said, as Aben had explained that this was English class and they should all repeat after him (intended to mean that they shiould repeat the English words that he teaches them, rather than everything he says, haha). As a method of intimidation, Aben said 'I actually love you' to A-Wei. A-Wei started to repeat the same thing back to Aben but refrained just in time. However, later Aben got a bit overemotional again and attempted to pash A-Wei, to A-Wei's queasy horror.

Finally, Aben made a memorably abrupt and dramatic exit, as he had apparently received a phone call from the hospital inviting him to attend the birth of his child.
